OUR STORY

At Protropic, hearts of palm are more than just a product—they represent a journey of resilience, quality, and social responsibility that began in 1984. As a family-owned business, we are dedicated to innovation and deeply connected to the land and the communities that sustain us

Protropic’s journey is one of resilience and vision. After the palm oil market collapsed in the early 1990's, we pivoted to hearts of palm, driven by the next generation’s agronomy studies in Costa Rica. This decision led to our plantation and processing facility, enabling us to export to over 23 countries across three continents. More than a company, Protropic embodies hard work, quality, and sustainability, dedicated to making a meaningful impact.
